This is the last week of the series – Part 5 – and in this final part, Stuart talks through whether travel management companies should provide a Travel Safety solution for every booking that they process.
Do you believe that travel management companies should offer a Travel Safety solution for every booking that they process?
It’s a very topical question, and we’ve been inundated over the last six months, I would say, with travel management companies wanting to know how they can use technology to help their travelers stay safe. I’m not looking at where the liability or where the duty of care lies – whether it’s with the organisation, or the person booking, or actually the travel management company – but there has been a huge uptake where there is interest.
For £0.50, £1, something like that, every booking can add-on a travel management – sorry – a Travel Safety solution that will help their travelers increase their Travel Safety awareness, understand more about the area they’re going to, or find out if it’s safe for them to go based on their organisation’s risk rating.
So I do think it’s a very important part of a booking system, and I think it should be provided.
