Would you feel comfortable sending a traveler overseas if the only solution you offered was mobile tracking?
Well, let’s try and dispel the myth. People a couple of years ago would find that if they wanted to know where their team were when they were overseas, they would provide a tracking solution. I’ve used tracking all over the world and it’s good as part of a full end-to-end solution, but it’s only as good as the people monitoring it.
Have you got a solution in place to know what to do if someone encounters a problem? Have you assessed the risk? Have you trained them? It’s one piece of the jigsaw. So I would say to send someone overseas with just tracking, no, I wouldn’t be comfortable because it doesn’t provide a full solution. It’s one part of the picture. So no, it’s not good enough on its own.
